On 15th August 2022, the students, the staff members and parents of SMHS gathered in the school for the celebration of Independence Day. The event commenced with everyone showing their respect to the country by hoisting our flag and singing the national anthem. After Flag hoisting ceremony, the gathering moved to the auditorium for the cultural programme. The students performed very enthusiastically.
Respected Dr. Jivan Mablu Borcar, Surgeon Rear Admiral was the guest of honour. Our Advisor, Respected Manju M. Lodha ma’am had also graced the occasion by her presence. They gave a brilliant speech on the significance of this day with a very special message of respecting our soldiers and freedom fighters’ sacrifices by living for the country, and respecting our country as our mother.
From 8th August to 12th August 2022, the students had participated in several activities to acclaim the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and instilled a feeling of patriotism. Activities included poster making, tri colour Craft work/Food items, making of Indian flag etc… The school was decorated with vibrant tri colours.
Everything, from the stage decoration to the anchoring and the performances was well planned and systematically executed, leading to the event being a wonderful success.
