National Science Day was celebrated by the students of Sharda Mandir High School on 28th February to remember the great invention by the Indian Physicist Chandrashekhara Venkata Raman who discovered the ‘ Raman Effect ‘.The theme for NATIONAL SCIENCE DAY -2021 is “ FUTURE OF STI (SCIENCE TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATION ): IMPACT ON EDUCATION SKILLS AND WORK.
The pandemic has confined students to their homes but could not break their love for SCIENCE, owing to which the celebration of this auspicious day was virtual this year. Students from grade 5 to 9 were encouraged to participate in the events conducted by school which aimed at motivating the students to celebrate NSD in their own safe and comfortable locations by cultivating a spirit of creative exploration.
Essay writing competition, Quiz competition and demonstrations by students on experiments that could be conducted at home were some of the events organised for the students. The fact that science is fun and experiments can be conducted at home with the available material was proved by the students of Sharda Mandir High School.
Celebrating NATIONAL SCIENCE DAY was with the main motive to spread a message about the importance of science used in the daily life of the people.
