National Science Day is celebrated every year on February 28, in commemoration of the discovery of the ‘RAMAN EFFECT’ by the genius scientist Sir C.V. Raman. This discovery earned Sir C.V Raman the noble prize in Physics in 1930, marked a significant milestone in the field of science and put India on the world map of scientific research.

The theme for National Science Day, 2023 is ‘Global Science For Global Wellbeing’. The Government of India designated February 28 as National Science Day in 1986. On this day various activities like speeches, Quiz competitions, Exhibit display are organised in the educational institutions to promote scientific temper among the young minds.

With this objective, events like Quiz competition, Exhibit Display were arranged in our school to enhance the understanding of Science amongst the students. The chain of events organised over the week however started by making the students aware of the importance of this auspicious day. This day is a reminder of the crucial role that science and technology play in shaping our world and improving the lives of people.
