Space Trax Education is an organization dedicated to Space Education in India which organizes Space Programs across Schools and Colleges. The Programme includes a well-defined process and a highly effective content for SPACE EDUCATION. Sharda Mandir High School had organized One Day Space Programme: STX (Space trax Training Experience) especially for the students from Std VI to X. “Be an astronaut for a day” programme was conducted on 23rd & 24th August, 2018 for the students of Std VI to X.
The students assembled in the auditorium at 8:00 am. The students were divided into various teams. Dr. Rajesh Ghangurde, had a discussion and showed video on Mars Mission ‘MOM’ launched by India and NASA, ‘MAVEN’ by USA. The Teams comprised of Mission Commanders who worked with Student Teams and helped them at every level and ensured they were successful in all the activities and assignments. The activities included telescope making, satellite making, model rocket making, rocket launch, agility test, engineering challenges etc. The activities involved teamwork and competitiveness to take up the challenges. Students got opportunities to experiment, discover and explore through these activities. Camp concluded with discussions on carrier opportunities in Astronomy and space sciences.
“Space travel for everyone is the next frontier in the human experience”. All our young explorers went back home with immense knowledge of space and technology.
