Field trips are of utmost importance for the children to get practical exposure to the acquired knowledge. To fulfill this need of hands on experience for the current topic of Community Helpers, the children of class Jr. Kg. were taken for a visit to the fire station and the police station. The children were given a detailed explanation of the role of the fire man and the police man by their respective officer in charge. They were also exposed to practical demo of rescue operations. The children were provided with the opportunity to question and were allowed to handle the equipment’s. The children were taken over by a wave of curiosity and anxiety. They were thrilled to meet the real life-saver heroes. It was an enriching experience for all. These community helpers left such a positive impression on the minds of the little ones that they all were aspired to be one of them, when they grow up.
